D.O.A Comes to Life — Thanks to the Theater Society

Cristian Claudio, Junior Staff Writer

Murder, Romance, and intense fighting, what else could you want in a play?

The DePaul College Prep Theatre Society is working hard to bring DCP an amazing fall show, Dead On Arrival

“Production is going very well. It’s a very fast paced play, but characters always say what’s on their mind so it’s easy to follow,” Mr. Bryant, director and English teacher.

D.O.A, is the story of a man who gets poisoned and has less than eight hours to figure out who poisoned him.

The story’s lead character, Frank Bigelow is being played by sophomore actor, Daden Gabryszewski, who seems very excited for the play.

The female lead is played by senior Juliana Griggs. She will be playing the role of Paula Gibson.

Griggs noted that she’s most excited for how the play will turn out with all the new actors.

She went on to describe her favorite scene as the moment when the killer is revealed. The play even contains an intense fight scene where the main character, Frank Bigelow, has to fight for his life from an insane sociopath with a gun.

D.O.A will premiere on November 22nd at 7 pm, with an additional two showings on November 23rd at 2pm and 7pm.

DePaul University’s Healy Theatre, located at 2350 North Racine, on the school’s Lincoln Park Campus, will host the showings.

To purchase tickets, be sure to visit DePaul Prep website, under the Performing Arts section. Tickets can be paid using a debit or credit card.

After that, there’s only one thing left to do…

Will you be able to figure out who the killer is before the curtains close?
